More than 85 large hydro generation plants of different type have been designed by ELC for a total capacity exceeding 125,000 MW.
• Grand Inga M.P.P ‐ Congo Democratic Republic: Under development: 34.000 MW (46 x 740 MW Francis turbines), gross head 134 m. Master Plan & Prefeasibility study.
• Itaipù HPP ‐ Brazil and Paraguay: Completed: 14.300 MW (18+2 x 715 MW Francis turbines), gross head 118 m. Pre‐feasibility and feasibility studies, Construction design, procurement, construction supervision.
• Pancheshwar M.P.P ‐ India and Nepal: Under development: 7.200 MW (12 x 600 MW Francis turbines), gross head 240 m. Pre Feasibility Study.
• Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project, Ethiopia HPP. Largest 6.000 MW Plant Under construction in the African Continent with associated T&D. EPC contract: Project management and construction supervision.
• Rogun HPP ‐ Tajikistan: Under construction. 3.600 MW total installed capacity. Underground power house with 6 x 600 MW units and 600 kV interconnection with 600 kV Voltage level to neighbour countries.
• Upper Dez and Karun Watersheds Reconnaissance Study MPP ‐ Iran: Under development. 2.500 MW plus additional 1.000 MW from pumping plants. Feasibility Study.
• Gibe III HPP ‐ Ethiopia: Under construction: 1.870 MW (10 x 187 MW Francis turbines), the tallest RCC Dam in the world, 243 m high, downstream of Gilgel Gibe I & Gilgel Gibe II, gross head 210 m. EPC contract: Project management and construction supervision.
• Karkeh River Master Plan MPP ‐ Iran: Under development. 1.740 MW Power Generation and 26.500 ha. of rrigated land. Feasibility Study.
• Coca Codo‐Sinclair HPP ‐ Ecuador: Under construction. 1.500 MW (8 x 187,5 MW Pelton turbines), gross head 618 m. Feasibility Study.
