III - Existing Plants Rehabilitation and Upgrading
Rehabilitation of existing hydroelectric plants, have a key strategic value and least cost option in the renewable energy growth programs.
The rehabilitation and upgrading of a very large number of existing plants (including civil works) has been designed by ELC for a total capacity of 4.500 MW while keeping at minimum the interruptions and interferences with normal operations.
Most of these plants have been rehabilitated and a few benefit from the “renewable energy0 certificates”.
